A Short Summary of Professional Experience:

I started my career in 2010 as a Case Manager working in the community with folks with serious mental illness. After relocating to the United States in 2013, I continued my role in community case management but shifted my focus to children and families. This experience, working with families in New Mexico was extraordinary but it was also the most stressful and taxing job I’ve ever done. After two years of this work I moved home to do my Masters.

After I received my MSW in 2016, I became a Child and Family Therapist at a Children’t Mental Health Centre in a Residential Treatment program where I practiced DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy). This work was so pivotal for me because it was what made me acutely aware of a few things that I hold dear to this day: the impact of systems on an individual and how to balance acceptance with change.

From there I moved into a career in private practice in 2019. Since being in private practice my continuing education has spanned a multitude of different therapeutic approaches as well as liberatory and anti-oppressive principles. There is simply too much extended education to name. I am not officially certified in any of them but I have a very eclectic toolbox to draw from. If you are curious about anything in particular, you can ask me directly in a consult call.

Spiritual Tools and Practice are a huge part of my self-development. I don’t force them on people but anyone who works with me should at least have an openness and willingness to talking about energy (our bodies use energy to function so this isn’t a reach but there’s still a lot of stigma to talking about energy).
